Chapter 12
Just a small thing today. I went a little out there with an exposition I was required to write for a course, and I thought I'd share it with you all. Enjoy.

Two men in different places sit behind their desks, both cool, calm, composed. One says what he means. The other deceives with words. Both think of destruction and chaos and death. One talks of devotion and construction and democracy. The world was better when the bush was brightly burning. Now, the bush of today is setting the world ablaze in the flames of war. This bush, much unlike the better-known one, certainly is nothing to be deified. The words that come from this bush’s mouth are not milk and honey, but poison and venom, corruption hiding behind the mask of patriotism and religious belief. At least, in the first case, you can see the danger like it was written on the walls. The real danger is hidden behind a smarmy laugh and comforting references to a God that would never condone that which is the truth, which is kept secret from the eyes and ears of all. At least, in the first case, the murderer is what he is; But the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world that he didn’t exist.
